A useful new tool for exploring the 2026 A-level results from Tutor2U

The 2026 A-level results and grade boundaries are now available through tutor2u’s free Exam Results Explorer.
The interactive tool brings together results data from across subjects and exam boards, allowing teachers to explore national grade distributions, examine changes over time, compare outcomes and grade boundaries, and investigate patterns in subject entries and results by gender.
For Heads of Geography, it could provide a useful starting point for departmental results analysis. In particular, it allows you to:
compare your department’s grade profile with the national picture;
identify whether changes in outcomes reflect wider national patterns or appear more specific to your own cohort;
examine grade boundaries for your specification and how these have changed over time;
compare patterns across exam boards—while recognising that different boundaries do not mean that one specification is easier;
support more informed discussions about curriculum strengths, assessment, teaching priorities and future intervention.
Departments can also enter their own results into the Explorer for an instant comparison with national outcomes. Tutor2U say that no student names are required, and the data remains within the user’s browser.

The figures remain provisional while tutor2u completes its final checks, but the Explorer already offers Geography departments a helpful way to place their own results within a wider context and identify questions for more detailed analysis.
